Principles of Design Part One: Print Design

Join us for a day of design training! We'll spend the day discussing the basic principles of design, covering print materials in the morning and web in the afternoon. Both sessions will be hands-on, so please bring your own device.You are welcome to attend both trainings, but please register for each session individually, because space is extremely limited. Lunch will not be provided. 

This session will focus on the basics of creating incredible print materials. Attendees will learn how to use Canva.com and Microsoft Word to design winning promotional pieces. Also covered in this session will be basic typography (such as kerning), how to choose font combinations, color selection and combinations, element placement, audience, white space, and the importance of getting the right file type.
