Join Laura Rogers and Emily Johansson from Richland Library Children’s Room to learn about the Reading Studio’s collection of resources available for struggling readers. Learn how to select appropriate books and materials for all types of readers and develop programming to serve emerging readers and their families. Experience dyslexia through a learning simulation and explore strategies to help young readers to improve their reading skills.
In the afternoon, Carol Page, from the South Carolina Assistive Technology Program, will talk about reaching teens with learning disabilities.
This training is for youth services library staff working with patrons 0-18 years of age.
