Annually the South Carolina State Depository System selects the most notable South Carolina state government publications that were released in the past calendar year. Librarians representing selected depository collections, State Government Agency staff members, and State Library staff members serve as judges. The awards are announced in honor of Freedom of Information Day (March 16) at a ceremony at the South Carolina State Library.
