Storytime Basics

Agenda:
Learn the basics of planning and presenting fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate storytimes for children and families who visit your library. Topics covered: choosing age-appropriate books for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and older children, music activities with children, incorporating early literacy practices, crowd control and other challenges, using props, and more! This training will be perfect for library staff new to children's programming or those who might fill in for your library's regular storytime provider. Participants are encourage to bring a favorite storytime book to share with the group. Lunch will be provided, and space is limited. More sessions will be offered in the future.
