Speaker at the Center: Family Recipes - a panel discussion

Join us at our next Speaker at the Center series on Tuesday, December 17th, at 3 p.m. for a conversation about collecting and preserving family recipes and what we can learn about history from recipes. Exploring the December theme of Food, we invite you to learn about basic recipe card preservation with State Library Preservation Librarian Stephanie Gilbert and participate in a panel discussion about family recipes, the importance of family traditions revolving around food, and traditional SC foodways.

Panelists include Kugels and Collards authors Lyssa Kligman Harvey and Rachel Gordon Barnett, fifth-generation family member Tripp Roche of Villa Tronco, Chef Harold of the War Mouth, Dr. Ramon Jackson, Curator of African American Culture and History at the South Carolina State Museum.
