Award-winning South Carolina journalist Paul Bowers walks us through his process of using SC’s Freedom of Information Act. He’ll give details about how he uses FOIA in reporting and practical steps for you to use it to stay informed as a citizen. Q&A session to follow!

Presenter:

Paul Bowers spent eight years as a reporter for various South Carolina newspapers. He now works with South Carolina's chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. He is also a freelance writer and produces the Brutal South newsletter about education, class struggle, parenting, brutalist architecture, and the American South.
