In this session, attendees will gain further knowledge of organization development (OD) or systemic, formal, and planned change efforts as well as the subfield of change management. We will engage in a deeper understanding of organizational culture and how change efforts can impact that culture. This presentation will utilize library focused examples and engage attendees in understanding and applying relevant models and frameworks toward library-wide change. 

1. More profound knowledge of organization development and change management
2. Understand what is organizational culture and how to be intentional in moving toward an inclusive work environment
3. Learn about relevant models and frameworks and their application in change management efforts

Presenter:

Nikhat Jehan Ghouse (pronounced NICK-khath Juh-haa Goss) is an Organization Development (OD) Consultant and facilitator with Jehan Consulting as well as Associate Librarian for the Social Sciences and Coordinator of the Diversity Alliance Residency Program at American University (AU). She works with organizations, including public and academic libraries, state, regional and national associations. Nikhat received her Master of Science in Organization Development from AU, her MLIS from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA in History from Cleveland State University. Nikhat has over 20 years of professional experience working in libraries and five-plus years of experience consulting at the intersection of libraries and organizational development.
