Museum\, on Wednesday\, July 16th\, at 2:30 pm. Heather McPherson has been
the Curator of Collections at the South Carolina Military Museum since

and rescue air missions\, and aviation units. Born and raised in the

Carolina stories of aviation and space exploration. \n\nThe SC Military
Museum provided some items for the July Display Case\, which will be
available to view through July.\n\nAbout the SC Military Museum: South
Carolina Military Museum\n\nFirst established in Sumter County as the
National Guard Museum and State Weapons Collection\, the South Carolina
Military Museum relocated to the capital city of Columbia to better serve
its mission of preserving the Palmetto State’s military history.\n\nThis
new location offered strong partnerships with the South Carolina Military
Department and the opportunity to expand the collection. Through the
efforts of staff and volunteers\, the former National Guard motor pool was
transformed into an inviting space for the community to learn their rich
military heritage.\n\nOfficially recognized by the U.S. Army’s Center for
Military History and the National Guard Bureau\, the museum highlights
South Carolina military history in three galleries. Staff members are
available to assist with research inquiries\, and the Hugh McLaurin Library
and Archive is open by appointment. The museum also hosts community events
 and offers various STEM-related education programs.\n\n \n\n \n\nFor more
information\, please get in touch with McCabe Rentz\, SC Center for the
 Book Coordinator\, at 803-734-4816 or mrentz@statelibrary.sc.gov
\n\nLocation & Parking: The event is held at the South Carolina State
 Library\, 1500 Senate Street\, Columbia\, SC 29201. On-street metered
parking is available.\n\nEnter between the two lions.\n\n\n\nAccessibility:
FM Auditory Assistance\, large print materials\, and other accessibility
accommodations are available upon request. Please get in touch with the
